I have a GE self cleaning electric range model JBP12 years old The clock says FFF and all attemps to reset have failed Top burners work but thats all???? any suggestions?
I have GE electric range, model JBP26GS1. Every six months or so, the clip recepticles where burners are connected are burned out and need to be replaced. I beleive the heat is transferred from the burnes to the recepticles, subsequently burning the plastic along with the electric wires. Replacing process is costly and annoying. What am i doing here is wrong? is it a design flaw and I have to live with it or I need to replace the burnes now. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Rick
Don't purchase GE again. They are a nightmare to deal with.
Door motor safety circuit you may have a faulty Electronic Range Control (ERC).. let us know what you find out.. krazytech

Thanks for the assisst There were new codes posted around 1999 that has the same solution with the default code of FFF
have fault code f1...attempts to overide by pushing multiple buttons will temporarily remove code but after about 1" fault returns. oven will still work as long as I start oven before codes appears. oven seems to work fine and fault stays off as long as oven is on. Seems to me it may be in the clock. Can clock alone be disconected or does this require new ERC?
