Contacts list When I try to make a call on Phillips skype phone and press the skype button it says contacts unavailable. This used to happen intermittently now all the time. I really want to be able to both use this phone as a skype phone and as an additional landline handset. Help please

Reinstall Skype. It should take about 3 or 4 minutes.

wake up phone and press phone button, then press menu button (this should show you option for call history. Press button, for call history, then press menu button again. Delete all...

It took me a while to figure out but here is how I am able to dial out from skype to a hardline to a person not in my skype contact. Simply start to dial the number (not from the talk button!!!) then instead of hitting the talk button to dial, hit the skype button on the bottom left hand side. I also have to dial 001 then the phone number. Hope this works for you too. good luck.

I had this same problem... If you use Microsoft Outlook for emails, then this might be the solution: Open Skype and click on View, and untick the 'Show Outlook Contacts'. Hopefully this will cull the list of contacts and will enable the Philips voip phone to view contacts again... Perhaps it's because the Outlook contacts are vCards - something which the Philips phone can't recognise?

The problem has been solved .. . thank you . The hand set had in fact been somehow un registered from the 'Sender ' . I looked up how to register the hand set ( no way would I have thought of holding down the page button on sender for a few seconds , actually until it starts to flash and then you have (via the menu ) to get the hand set into register mode ( you will need your PIN no. if you changed it from factory default ! If you haven't changed it then factory default is ' 0000' ) . . . punch that in to the hand set and then bingo , they are in touch again . . . .

It took HOURS to get it right . . . I tried removing CIT200 and Skype and then reload into computer . . . and I'm not sure now if I have the upgrade or not of CIT200 . . . this morning had the on going problem of phone saying ' unavailable ' and the only way out of this is to reboot my computer . . . that mostly works ! Apart from these BIG niggles the system is clear and good when all configured . . . NOT found the answer to the Niggles yet ! . . . . . ( Why no hard copy of the user manual . . . ridiculous!)

Using Skype 3.8.0.180

Go to Menu-Tools-Options-Advanced and give your voip321 access to skype application.

I had the same problem, solved when I allowed the skype phone to access skype.

i fixed problem by downloading the manual off philips site and have a gess on the first page it says do not down load an upgade as this will not work with the phone so i unistalled all programs of skype and reinstalled with no update whala it works

Remove the batteries from the handset for at least 1/2 minute and reinstall them bach. This should work The contacts will show up again on tehe handset.

DeRegister the handset and then reregister it to the base

On handset

Menu
Settings
Handset
Deregister

Then
1 ) press Reg. Register shall be highlighted.
2 ) press Page key on the base unit until the two indications turn off.
If registration is successful,the signal icon displays steadily.
If registration failed,repeat the above procedure.
