You need a Gas tech/plumber there urgently!!!! If the gas jets in your oven had not been changed to accomodate LP gas then the orifice on your existing jets are still to large in diameter. In other words your using Natural Gas jets ( lower pressure jets) for Lp which has a much higher pressure than Nat. gas, this can be extremely dangerous, & could cause major problems. Again I strongly suggest you contact a Gas tech/Plumber & do not use your oven until it has beeen checked by a professional.Good luck
Weber no longer offers or support conversion kits. If you do any conversion it will VOID you warranty!
That said, if you can find the parts online for the LP version of your grill you can convert it yourself if you are mechanically inclined.
You will need to change the JETS and the GAS REGULATOR. Unfortunately they do not sell official Weber Gas Jets alone. You will have to by the complete LP Manifold, valves and all as well as the Tank Hose with Regulator...
Make sure you are comfortable with all of this... Leak testing etc...
Weber sells conversion kits. Basically, you need a new regulator and manifold to accommodate LP instead of the existing regulator/manifold setup for natural gas. Unfortunately, Weber does not sell their parts online. Their parts phone # is: 877-731-8081
Natural gas and Propane operate at different pressures known as WATER COLUMN INCHES and require different jets to work properly. If you have changed the jets ( installed in the correct direction) and are using a new LP regulator You should be good to go. If you are using the old Nat Gas regulator it just ain't a goin a work
Hello. Yes it can be converted to LP, the kit part however, not sure. I would suggest contacting the manufacture to see if one is available, and who/where to get it. Here is some info:http://www.dcsappliances.com/customercare/contact-us.cfm or you could contact a local servicer by checking your phone book, under "restaurant equipment repair".
Hi, The gas jet is too large and the gas valve needs adapted for lp gas. Lp gas has more pressure so the jets are smaller. Any appliance parts store should have the kit needed to adapt the gas valve along with the jet. The valve pressure will also need to be adjusted using a cheap water column gage also available at the appliance parts store. Check with them on what the pressure needs to be in your area. If the regulator is part of the lp it should be set right. If it is part of the fryer, set up for natural gas, and there is no lp regulator, it will need to be adjusted and or replaced with an lp regulator. Gas companies are usually very helpful with such things because they are concerned about gas safety. Good luck.
