I have a kitchenaid superba disposal and sometimes it won't turn off. I have to throw the circuit breaker. Is there a switch on the disposal that will turn it off?

Sometimes the disposal rotor is jammed by a piece of chicken bone for example. You can use the supplied hex key to stick into a hole at the bottom and jiggle the rotor free.

Check switch. replace switch. If switch checks out, then replace disposal to avoid risk of overheating and in-wall short.
