Kawasaki stx 15f Replaced the ECU because it was not sending a signal. Now were getting a signal but the multi function meter will read for a few minutes then shut down.

If you have a scan tool that can read ABS codes, you can possibly get some info on what's causing the problem.

The combination meter assembly receives vehicle speed signals from the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) via the CAN communication system. The speed sensor detects the wheel speed and sends the appropriate signals to the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU). The brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) supplies power to the vehicle speed sensor. The brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) detects vehicle speed signals based on pulses of the voltage.

If the vehicle speed sensor circuit has a malfunction, the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) stores DTCs. Troubleshoot the vehicle stability control system or anti-lock brake system.

FPO is the fuel pump code. Need to replace the fuel pump.

Start by checking the crank position sensor. You need a graphing multi meter or lab scope to read the signal. It is an a/c sine wave generator and it is what sends a signal to the ECU to control spark. If you do not understand how to use these tools do not attempt to diagnose this item as it generates enough voltage to hurt you.

best thing would be to do is empty the tank and clean out the carb of injector depending on the year

You have to pull the oil out of the dipstick tube.You need a vacuum extractor.The dealers use them.Sorry to tell you this.Hope this helps

10w-40 is an all around perfect oil for all four strokes

could have wiring damaged need to check if signal from O2 sensor is getting to engine ECU.
can see this in data display using tech2 or scanner O2 sensor reading would be around 450mv all the time indicating open circuit(this is a default reading used by ECU)
or with multi meter back probe ECU connector O2 signal wire to see what reading if any getting to ECU.
