Washer fills, goes through wash cycle, but won't drian or spin. Timer continues to function normally after wash cycle, but when it gets to the drain cycle a motor hum (similar in sound like a stuck garbage disposal unit) happens for a few seconds followed by a slight "click" (motor circuit breaker?). The only noise after that is the sound of the timer continuing. After waiting awhile I can duplicate what I just explained -- nothing more. I've tried it several times with no success. Machine is five years old.

- I pulled off the pump - but I couldn't find the filter. Could it be further back the inlet hose?
You have a clogged water pump inlet filter. Normally located at the bottom of the machine there should be a 1"-2" disk that you need to rotate half turn to release. Be aware that a large quantity of water is likely to drain when you open it.
