Question about Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z700 Digital Camera

I am soo frustated!!

I had recently bought a olympus (forgot the model) and it was horrible when taking pictures, i went back to the sale of point and exchanged it for the casio exilim ex-z700 and its worst. i charged it the whole night and the flashing red light was on i woke up and it was still flashing!!

Replace battery. Most digicam last only for about three years working in good condition, after that troubles starts to make your head turns, I suggest not to keep one longer than that period of time. Thats the reason they upgrade models every three to six months!

Over exposed


I just fixed mine. Part of the shutter got stuck, so it was taking in too much light from outside.

You can see if this is the same problem by looking in your lens and zooming in--see if anything looks weird; you should just see a reddish circle in the center of the lens.

I had to take the silver piece off that says "Olympus lens" and whatnot, then turn the camera on and use something ( in my case, a twist-tie) to push the stuck part of the shutter up, through an opening under the removed silver piece. My pictures now look fine as they did before.

To remove the silver piece, just turn it with your fingers counter-clockwise with the camera off.

Hope this helped a little. My warranty is gone anyway so I had nothing to lose. I'd send it back if you still can before doing this.
