Fan running when trigger pressed is normal however to make it fire you need to press on the work probe first and the fan should start running, at this point the gas should be injected and pressing the trigger should create the spark to fire the gun, if all works as above but the gun won't fire check the gas, the metering valve on the can should have a yellow ring and when pressing the can nozzle on a hard surface, gas should be released, if not the can either has (a) insufficient gas, (b) the nozzle is not correctly fitted (c) the metering valve is faulty, if the can emits gas the gun will need to be checked for spark and the seals will need checking

SOURCE: paslode fixing gun has stopped firing

Do you have gas cylinder in,if so is gas expiration date on bottom of cannister, change gas to current fresh date. Also open nose of nailer and see if a fastner has logged ,remove and push plunger pin back into body,be sure to remove battery during these tests.

I have six Paslode nailers and have spent endless hours trying to fix them with no success. Take them to an authorized dealer and have them fix them. They are very fussy tools.

Paslode finish nailer fan has problems starting and the light goes from green to red then it wont do anything?

It will probably be the head switch assembly. Top Gun still sell the parts or you could try ebay which would be the cheaper option.

I have a pasload im 250 ii straight finish nailer when I pull the trigger the motor runs with out the tip being pressed is this normal and when I press the tip and pull the trigger it does not fire

Yes, it is normal for the fan to run when the trigger is pulled. Does the fan start when you depress the nose?
If not, it most likely is a bent contact element, or a bad head switch.

Not firing, when press trigger fan isn't moving

Make sure your battery is charged.
You also have to press the gun down to the board to activate it.

My finish nail guns, 16 ga won't fire.

There is a little plastic piece inside above the trigger...usually this breaks. It touches a microswitch when the cylinder is closed all the way, allowing the nail to fire.

Hi how to change the motor in paslode IM250 i took the gun apart but i can not remove the motor

There is a small torx bolt in the fan, heat the bolt up to losen it, then remove fan.
Now remove spark plug lead and unplug the wires to the butterfly board.
Then remove the circlip that is holding the outer rubber attached to the fan.

Hope this is some help. any problems contact your nearest paslode repair agent.(check on the paslode web site for your local repair agent)

Good luck.!
