I have a Philips PH601S universal remote. I have the manual, but did not have the codes. After almost an hour of piddling with it .. this FINALLY worked: push in and hold code search button until it stays lit, then pushed the TV button, it flashes quickly. Then hit the number zero once, then hit channel up button until tv finally changes channel. Hit the mute button once to get it to store the code. It did take me about three tries, but it did finally work. My tv is a ge, this doesn't necessarily give me the code, but did finally make the remote start working.

I did the code search where I pressed the channel up button probably 200 times till the code finally worked.

1. Go to http://www.urc.philips.com/ 2. choose US URC modles 3. choose US2 4. choose US2-P63S. Really dumb but the owners manual states PH601S but in Philips web site its called US2-P63S -
