When I print a photo on non-epson paper from my Epson RX595, the photo looks wet and smears when touched. When I print on epson paper, it prints fine. Kodak and HP paper give the "wet" result. I have contacted Epson support and done all of the typical maintenance (clean the nozzles, etc.) with no success. Epson says I should be able to print on any paper, but obviously this is not true in my case. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows of a solution.
the reaction of the photo chemicals that are on the paper cannot be guaranteed by the printer manufacturer as they have no knowledge of its composition.
3rd party photo paper manufacturers have better compatibility results.

i was using refillable ink cartridge and it was working perfect. then i bought the epson cartridge because i wanted to print some photos and then i put back my refillable cartridges and now the printer refuses to print the the refillable cartridge. it breaks up the paper everytimes. as soon as i click on print the rollers mess up the paper and print sideways and then i get the message paper jam. I do the instructions for removing paper jam and i try again and the same thing happens. i did reset the printer to default setting. what am i doing wrong?
