Grandkids playing with Magnavox Tv control and set smart lock. Don't know what the code number they entered, need to know if there is a way to reset the tv without the code.

The model number is: MS2730C221, hope this helps narrow it down further. Thanks.
I have a Symphonic TV, MODEL # WF2702, SER # V18275143, manufactured in May 2002. It has a parental code entered...have no idea what it is....how do I unlock the control?
A model number for your Magnavox TV would be helpful because the Parental Control Reset procedure varies. There should be a sticker on the back of the TV showing the model number.
If you have a newer LCD model, the unlock code is usually 0711. Ignore any "Incorrect" warning and enter 0711 again. Then set or clear the Parental Access Code.

You will probably have to perform all three steps below. Just follow the steps carefully and you should be up and running again. Thanks for the model number.
1) To reset/change the SMART LOCK code, follow these steps.
Press the MENU button on the remote to display the on-screen menu.
Press the Cursor Up (also known as CH + button, above menu button) or Cursor Down (CH - below the menu button) to highlight SMART LOCK. Then press the Cursor Right (VOL + button to right of menu button) to display the SmartLock ACCESS CODE screen.
Using the numbers on the remote keypad, enter 0 7 1 1. " INCORRECT CODE" will appear on the screen. Enter the code 0 7 1 1 again.
Cursor Down to CHANGE CODE and enter 0 7 1 1 and then CONFIRM CODE and enter 0 7 1 1.
Press the STATUS / EXIT button (left of CH +) to save the new code in memory.
2) If the grandkids have locked out any channels, then you will have to perform the following steps:
Press MENU, highlight SMART LOCK, right arrow, enter 0 7 1 1, confirm by entering 0 7 1 1 again. Cursor to BLOCKING OPTIONS, right arrow, and highlight CLEAR ALL, right arrow.
You should then see CHANNEL....ALL, LOCK....YES, ALL UNLOCKED.
3) To turn SMART LOCK off, follow these steps.
Press MENU, highlight SMART LOCK, right arrow, enter 0 7 1 1, confirm by entering 0 7 1 1 again. Cursor to BLOCKING OPTIONS, right arrow, and highlight BLOCKING OPTIONS, right arrow, MASTER DISABLE. Use Cursor Right (VOL +) or Cursor Left (VOL -) to select OFF.
You should see MASTER DISABLE....ON (which means SMART LOCK is turned off.)

Oops, correction to step 3)
....MASTER DISABLE. Use Cursor Right (VOL +) or Cursor Left (VOL -) to select ON (not the typo OFF.)
You should see MASTER DISABLE....ON (which means SMART LOCK is turned off.)
