The Magnavox 27MS343S is a standard analog 27" TV. It is not high definition and therefore cannot generate a posterized or pixelated picture. I will bet you are using a digital cable box or satellite reveiver and the problem is in that box, not the TV. Hook up a regular VCR to the TV, set the TV to channel 3, put in a good pre-recorded tape and hit PLAY. If the tape plays nice and clear on the TV, the problem is in your digital box.

There is no T'Con board to Plasma TVs. Flickering can be of many reasons. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Increase resolution

The poster resolution and the computer resolution are completely separate. The cpt resolution controls the monitor screen display. The poster resolution refers to the camera pixels used in recording the original picture - it cannot be increased. The poster program is measuring the resolution of the file picture only and indicating that t will produce a blurry poster.

Pixelation of TV channels via Settop box

Pixelation is caused by poor signal strength. Check the signal strength in the setup section. Unfortunately some boxes and TVs don't handle poor signal as well as others. It might be worthwhile trying a signal amplifier

You wont want to hear this.....

Green dots on a LCD screen are burnt out pixels and unfortunately are incurable other than having the TV serviced at a high price. One of the reasons it is a good idea to get a warranty on these types of TVs is primarily due to this very problem....burnt out pixels.

The cable people told me to have the tv auto adjust itself as the sports channels I added seem pixely. I cannot find this on the menu...also won't let me choose auto on picture mode or the parental...

If you have only one channel that is a bit more pixelated than the others I hate to tell your cable company but its not the TV at faut. The fact is that channel has more compression and also the fact that some sports will show more pixelation than others. Depends on if the shot is close up or a wide angle shot.

WinTV-T-500 Pixelated screen.

Could be a Ram or Cpu issue. I had a similar problem with ocsasional pixelated picture & discovered my Ram was faulty ( due to overclocking). I replaced the Ram & that fixed the problem.
After another overclock attempt I started getting the same issue as before & realised this time that It was my Cpu causing the issue. By adding a little more voltage to my Cpu the problem was fixed.
This is just to illustrate that the Problem is likely to be a Ram or a Cpu issue, if all else fails. The tuners are heavilly reliant on Ram & Cpu, so any short falls in either can result in an imperfect picture.
Hope that helps...
