Question about Electronics - Others
I have purchased a pen drive 1Gb Moser Baer. but after couple of days i am not able to copy any data or not able to format it. Every time it's showing write protection. what do i do.
The first thing to do is try it in a different computer to see if you get the same problem. Flash drives, as far as I've seen them, have no option to enable write protection unless you have it specifically set like that in your operating system. If it works on a different computer, you can safely put it down to a problem with your computer and not the flash drive. On an off-chance, check for any sort of slider on the flash drive (like on floppy disks) - if there is one, toggle it and try again. Good luck!

Hey guys. i know the solution. Its no virus. goto the link below and read about ur pendrive. some pen drives like moserbaer come with this utiltiy.this is called dual level data protection.
The pendrive is neither damaged nor is infected. Because i had the same pendrive which also had virus infection, i tried making it work eveyway, it didnt. then i formatted the drive using zero fill, which is risky. It has damaged the drive and it does detect the media on the drive.
Please do not do all this and simply use the utility to unlock the write protection.
One thing is for sure, I will never suggest a moserbaer product. The have no support service.
