My cpu or computer cannat detect my lg dvd multi recorder.

Perform the following steps:

Turn the DVD writer on by plugin the power socket from SMPS on the back of the device.

Attach the 40 pin IDE cable or SATA Data cable as applicable on the back side.

Put the installation disk into the DVD drive after Windows has detected it and installed native drivers through the add hardware wizard.

Install any specific software packages, such as the DVD burning software, that the manufacturer has included with the DVD writer.

Dvd rom drive does not work

Try to open control panel then click add hardware. If you have entered the dialogue box, answer whatever is asked according to what you're searching. Then click whatever hardware your PC would like to detect then click finshed. After the detection, close the wizard box then try to open your DVD ROM and try it.

Hope this answers your question.

Problem with my D/ and E/ Driver

Hi there, Is the drive tray opening? If its not Then check the Power cable. If it does, does the BIOS detect the drive properly? If its not then Check your Jumpers on the Drive and Data Cable on the Drive. If you are using Windows XP and Above you do not need any drivers for it. Hope This helps.
