I have just purchased this fax machine and i have connected an additional phone to the EXT socket on the fax machine. When I receive any calls and answer with the connected phone it does not pick up the call, I have tried taking over the line by pressing ** on the connected phone, this does not work either. I have to then press Stop on the fax machine. Any Ideas?

The only other way around is to fit a double adapter into the phone line socket and plug fax in one and the phone in other, this way both will ring and allow you to make or receive calls on the seperate handset

What mode do you have the Fax in - TAM / Auto / Fax / whatever ??
