I have just found out that the USB port on the Philips DVD micro theater does not support HDD mp3 players. Is there a seperate cable that i could get in order to connect the mp3 and listen to it using the speakers on the unit?

If it has red/white RCA style inputs on the back you can just buy a cord that will plug into the headphone of your MP3 and into the RCA jacks on the stereo.

MP3 players are usually charged by the supplied USB cable when it is connected to a computer's USB port.
You can purchase an USB mains adapter and you can then connect the MP3 player with the USB cable into this USB mains adapter.

Connect the supplied USB cable to the MP3 player and then plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB port of a working computer. The computer will see this as an external storage device, you can then open the various folders and delete the unwanted files.

DVD player suddenly stopped working

Turn unit off and unplug, then plug back in and keep finger on eject button, and then hit the power button.  Nothing?  Get your phillips screwdriver and remove the shell.  Then retrieve you disc.  While your in there look for signs of a burned capacitor off the ic port chip and take a little glass cleaner and clean the optical lens with a micro fiber cloth.

How do you charge a 2bg go gear? trued laptip but no luck my in mp3 it won't come on

Your laptop has to have a USB 2.0 port. Many laptops do not even have enough power to properly run an mp3 player. If your laptop is definitely compatible, here is the method to force recognition (note: the Philips HDD series of GoGear needs a proprietary adapter, so if your model # starts with HDD, make sure you have the original adapter):

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.
