Sound drivers not proprely installing

pls download for me compaq c700 sound card driver

my driver not properly insatting

I solution:
format and reinstall the XP professional, 100% works else install Vista, 100% works.
II solution: ask your vendor to replace the motherboard or just add one soundcard. its done 100%.

I've reinstalled Windows XP and now I can't play any music. There is a message saying: "bad sound driver error 8878000A".

What sall I do?

sound dirver of moterboard asus p5gd2 is not properly installaing. i have not proper same moterboard cd avialable.

Please confirm if:
1) The sound drivers are for the hardware you are installing for (Compatibility)
2) The drivers are for the Operating system you are installing for.
3) You installation of the operating system is correct, for instance if you skiped some files. This happens for xp.
4) Also confirm if the hardware you are installing the drivers for is correctly fixed and identified by your system.
5) Is the sound device enabled in the bios. (Press delete when the computer is booting and enable sound device or choose autor)
6) Is the device conflicting with another device. (Right click on my computer, click on properties, then hardware, then device manager.)

If you can solve you problem with this then it would be a hardware problem and you would need an add on sound card.

You can also try furnishing us with the error messages and the steps you have taken so far in you installation procedure.

Right click->My computer->Manage->Device Manager->select the Audio controller
if its mark yellow icon put your mother disk
in you CD ROM and Install Audio Driver Software

Its due to the missing of the sound card drivers.  You need to re-install the drives of the sound card.  Do the following for solving it.

Click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.
Select the add/remove hardware
click on next
and follow the steps
place the CD having the sound card drivers.  Install the drivers and restart the system.

I couldn't even open the main volume or change any settings on my Compaq Presario
then winamp sends me an error bad directsound driver error:8700078 or somthing like that

I got the sound to work buy downloading and installing WDM_A406 (AC97 audio control panel)

when installed it has a icon in the system tray and in control panel it is sound effect manager

it really works try it
can't remember the site though cause of all the stuff I downloaded and tried
