Remote usb control & softwere

I have a primeview 801. I have not installed any softwere for this as I don't know if I need to with XP or not?? The cd I have says it is USB drive 1.0 My most important qustion is... is it possable to use this DVR and operate it (REC, STOP so on and so on) I know I can play the video via my computer by connecting it to the USB port, but can I also do everything else on my computer without needing to use the little remote control?? Can I also connect it to my usb via my home network Cat 5 wiring?? Thanks

Re: Remote usb control & softwere

With windows XP you do not need a driver, and there are none available; I had no luck finding a manual or any tech info online - you could possibly get the info from Pacific Image; Contact PI Via... TEL: 505-424-0384 Live Support Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Mountain Time FAX: 310-618-8200 Email: It appears that you cannot control the player from the computer. Cat 5 is an ethernet networking standard, not suitable for direct USB connection - you have to have the usb connected to and driven by one pc, then you could network it through the cat 5 to as many PCs as your router/hub allows. In extremis, you could potentially modify cat 5 wiring to run a USB signal, but you would not be able to then use the cable for ethernet networking. The USB interface is not able to deal with long or unsuitable cable runs. Hope this helps :)

Panasonic blueray dvd player mo remote cannot watch movie is there a solution

I take it you have no remote? or your remote isn't working?
If you have no remote you can get them online or through hardware stores for your model player, failing that many programmable multi remotes are available that will give you most functions. If local stores fail Check ebay!

As for controlling it without a remote i would need to know the bluray player model number. but if you have the manual and the player has a USB socket check to see if a standard USB keyboard/mouse is compatible.

Another alternative; if you have it connected to a home network there are mobile phone aps to let you control it.

I can't find my remote and I want my cd's to play over and over. I don't care about the order. I just don't want to have to get up and push play after each cd is finished playing. What can...

Not much you can do without a remote for this model except play 1 disc (CD or DVD) manually at a time. You could try to obtain a replacement of the original remote directly from Panasonic, or you can look again for your lost one in your home, or you can try a (cheaper) universal remote with this unit. The cost depends on what type of remote you get and where you buy it from (if you order through Panasonic there may be an additional shipping charge). Sequential play (one disc after the other automatically) usually can only be set using the remote.

The fact is, this player needs a remote for full functionality If you want random/sequential play for multi discs, the original Panasonic remote is required - try ordering this first if it is available. If not, then consider a universal. (you could also look on eBay for a similar DVD player remote for this model)

Can i setup my samsung bdc5500 without a remote control

Answer is NO.
most dvd needs to be set by remote control, because they don`t have a menu access botton on the set.
look at E-BAY for a remote control for its kind.

Don't have a remote and need to look at memory card but do not know how without remote

Easy fix just hold down the STOP button when the usb is Plugged in And the player will switch from Cd reader to Usb/Sd Reader and display all available options with that particular Usb/Sd , this player will also play ANY movie on either a usb or a Dvd Data Disc as long as the format of the movie is .AVI which to me makes it 10x better than any portable dvd player i have ever seen!

Install motherboard drivers for the first time

If you have a genuine copy of XP then it should boot from that and install it. If it's not booting from that you may have to change the boot priority in the bios, the motherboard manual will tell you how to enter the bios and make and save changes.
Are you sure it's not trying to boot from the hard drive.
As for the motherboard drivers they are installed after you put XP on.
If it's not reading the XP CD properly you may have a bad CD or CD Rom.
