DVD remotes typically have 2 sets of up and down arrows for such things. Make sure the remote you purchase is meant for dvd players.

There really isn't anywhere to search for what remote would work perfect for you other than some very costly ones. So I can't really point you in the direction of a make or model.

You can also Email Apex Support and ask them for a replacment remote. It will cost you but no more than a normal remote and its made for your dvd player.

Follow the steps..its easy. It will ask for the model of your remote which you will find where your batteries are located..The code I used for my APEX tv was 0023.. to load the code first hold the setup button until the red light stays on..then press tv or whatever mode you are setting up..then enter the code and if the red light goes off it is the right code and you should then press channel up to see if it works...If this code doesn't work the site above offers other codes.. Try the steps below these processes are called a power scans, there is a different type for any equipment needed. This should take 5-6 minutes per item to program.

For DVD/VCR's:
1.) Press and hold the correct VCR/DVD button (about six seconds) until all mode button backlights come on, then release.
2.) Press 222 pound (#) then record three times.
3.) With the desired equipment on, press and hold the VCR/DVD button until all mode button backlights illuminate (about 3 seconds), then release.
4.) Press and release the Power button.
5.) Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
6.) Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.

For TV's:
POWER SCAN
1.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, then press 500 pound ( #)
2.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, press the big power button once.
3.) Press the channel up button once per second until the TV turns off then press pound (#).

For any other equipment:
Power Scan AUX
1.) With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct AUX button until all mode button backlights illuminate (about 3 seconds), then release.
2.) press 0 for a TV, press 1 for a VCR/DVD, press 2 for any other device, then press *.
Press and release the large red Power button.
3.) Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
With any of these methods verify the code works by trying several different functions for that equipment.
