Toshiba sv4t not printing, red flashing light appears. Starts up fine but as soon as something is sent to be printed the red light starts flashing. Even with self print test the red light flashes straight away, reloading of paper and checking ribbon did not change anything, trying to calibrate the sensor did not work

SOURCE: Toshiba 2060 will not print 1/2" from top side with letter paper

Have you tried the manual feed tray? Which way is the letter size paper being feed in? LTR or LTR-R. You may have a reg. clutch that is slipping. I would also look to see if you have any paper jamed behind the paper tray and make sure the paper trat is displaying that ltter paper is in the papre tray the same way as displayed. Good Luck

SOURCE: CANT PRINT, IT SAYS PAPER EMPTY & IS NOT. RED LIGHT FLASHING

there is a little sensor flag which you probably knocked out of place. Remove the tray to gain access (plastic guides have a little stop. Just use a small flat blade screw driver and gently pry between steel guide and plastic guide to create a little more gap so the cassette tray comes off the guides completely.
Next, look in there and you will see a sensor flat which is supposed to dangle freely to make contact with the paper. It is a paper full sensor flag. If it isn't broke, you should be able to clip it back in its saddles.

SOURCE: toshiba 3511 color print problems

Hi,

Hope it's not the calibration. This could happen due to transfer belt timing problem. There are sensors and reflectors inside the transfer belt assembly. They may be dirty. Clean them or replace the transfer belt if required.

Red Alarm light is on the printer is beeping an it keeps printing gibberish??? What do I do??

Try disconnecting data lead from printer to PC. Switch printer off wait a few seconds then back on.
If it starts up ok and comes online. Then put data cable back in and goes wrong as soon as it goes to print, the printer may be ok. As it could be getting confused with what it being sent to it.
Delete any print jobs from the PC and restart printer again to see if that helps.

My Brother P-Touch QL 500 stopped printing and keeps blinking

Either the wrong printer is selected or the wrong size label inserted. Another possibility could be the incorrect size label in the format.

Paper jam error message

This problem is a detection problem, due to a bad sensor selection or incorrect label size.

If the labels are white labels with a separation between each, select TRANSMISSIVE. If the labels are preprinted, select the TRANSMISSIVE PREPRINTED LABELS and set the threshold doing this.

With the printer in ONLINE, press PAUSE once, the message PAUSE appears in the display, press and hold on the PAUSE key, TRANSMISSIVE is displayed, release the key and press PAUSE until labels starts to feed, let feed some labels (5 or 6) and release the key. Press Restart and start to print.

Similar problem

Oh, apart from the interesting non-standard lights, you may well be able to solve the problem by emptying the print queue to get rid of the gibberish document. Double click your printer icon (start-control panel -printers and faxes) to bring up the print queue. Right click the queue and select cancel all. Once they are cancelled, turn the printer off and on - have the error lights gone? If so, print a test page, if not, report back.

Won't print - just flashes it's lights at me!

I tried what phrek said (" Pressing the flashing buttons simultaneously, evokes the printer to spit out an internal diagnostic page ..."), but after the diagnostic page printed out the printer worked fine again.

Thanks for the help, and hopefully things work out for the rest of you as well.

Printing Dillema

Flashing resume light also can mean:

1. cartridge is missing or an incorrect print cartridge is installed
2. cartridge is out of ink
3. dirty cartridge contacts
4. paper jammed

Check are cartridges firmly snapped into place and not empty. Use water to wash copper on cartridges if contacts are dirty.
