Question about Westinghouse WST3504 Microwave Oven
After cooking several minutes, the unit shuts down entirely (microwave, hood, light and display) and it takes about 30 Minutes to come back on. For example we cooked two microwave dinners. The first dinner cooked fine, but the unit shut down just as the second was finishing. Is this an electrical circuit overheating (voltage drop in circuit is from about 122 to 113 volts when running)or a magnetron problem? Thanks Ole
We had this problem. It was installed improperly - to recirculate instead of to vent.

It's cutting out as a whole, which signifies the power is cutting out to it - probably a safety feature. Check your warranty on the unit and have it replaced, either way - I wouldn't feel safe using it. A microwave I once used did the same, and it eventually blew up with a cataclysmic bang.
