Re: Screen shows full memory card

It's quite possible that it's actually taking photos and storing them to the camera's onboard memory and not the memory card, explaining why it gets full so quickly with two pictures and why you can only delete two pictures. Look for a setting to change the storage to the memory card.

Save the pictures and videos on the card. Try reformatting the card in the computer, and then again using the camera. The first reformat will ensure the card is empty, and then the camera reformat will ensure that it is recognized by the camera. If the camera reformat will not work, try a new card.

Can't get pictures off of my camera

If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. Youcan copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off yourmemory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing anyprograms.

My camera is reading memory full. I took my card and got pictures that show on my memory card i bougth but can't take any more picyure because it is saying memory full and showing the pictures I thought...

Your camera is referring to its internal memory. It is very small and fills up can also prevent the camera from writing to the memory card. If these pics are important to you, go into the menu of the camera and find an entry for "copy" which will give you the option to copy the internal memory to a memory card. Once this is accomplished, remove the card and go back into the camera menu and find "format"....follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, promise yourself you will never use it again! Now, your memory card should work properly in your camera.

Make sure you have no pictures on the internal memory of the camera. If you do, format the internal memory with no card in the camera. Then, download any pics you can save from the card to your computer. Then, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase and optimize the card for the camera.

My computer has stopped downloading photos from my Finepix S8100fd. Have tried reloading the software that came with the camera. The reloading of the software seems to go perfectly but I still cannot...

I assume you're following the instructions in the manual.  If so, search your computer for connected drives - in Windows, just (double) click on 'My Computer'.  If the camera is connected, it will show up as if it's just another drive.

Open it - double click on it - then each folder in turn until a bunch of picture files show up.  Copy and paste that last folder to your hard disk and open the files in the usual way, with your ordinary picture viewer, not the Fuji software.

If the camera doesn't show up, remove the memory card and use a USB card reader - preferably borrowed - just as if it's the camera, as described above.

If that doesn't get your pictures onto the computer, you have either a camera or USB problem and it's time to get professional help.

If you are able to get your pics. downloaded, rename the copied folder on your hard drive, select all the files on the camera/card - NOT the folders - and delete them.  You now have a useable, empty memory card and all your pics in a meaningfully-named folder on your computer, and you're back in business.

For my money, the Finepix software is rubbish, anyway - and a card reader is usually quicker to download and doesn't use up your batteries!  Fuji's support site should be able to help you get back in business when you have time to research/e-mail them, though.

Using Internal says memory full, no image!

I own the same camera, Not sure about no pictures showing in the memory but you can get a 2 gig memory card for around $20 in stores or around $15 or $16 on ebay, holds over 700 pictures at the highest resolution. Also try to download your pictures to your computer if you haven't already. Hope this helps.

Camera display shows "memory card error".

I would give this software a try:
and be more vigilant about backing up your pictures. Flash memory can corrupt at any time. Good Luck.
