The only way to fill is to hold the water level lever manually to large load
Sounds like you have a water level switch going bad behind the console. Unplug machine, remove console and look behind the dash. You will see a switch that should have a small hose running to it. Gently remove the wires and hose and remove the switch. Be sure that if you replace it yourself, that the hose doesnt become disconnected from the outer basket, and be sure it is rehooked to the switch. Jim
