I have a Kenmore model 141.16681 and gas now leaks at the regulator valve

check regulator to see that the rubber seal in the tank coupling
is still good if this has perished or fallen out this maybe the cause of
gas at this point.
best purchase a new regulator if it seems faulty, this part is your life saver, and after 8 years good service could well need replacement.

I hope this was useful.

What would cause gas to be in the oil

On this 1999 silverado there are only a few things that would cause gas in the oil system one being a bad leaking fuel preassure regulator or a leaking injector. the engine should be running rough or rich and should have turned on the engine light. there are not any other ways to get gas in the oil but these are the most common but again the engine would not run to good and the check eng light would be on. the injector depending on the injection system would flood out the cylinder and make it skip inorder to get gas in oil, the most common would have to be the regulator leaking, but that would also make it run rich, if you remove the upper intake pelinum and turn ignition on but DONT try to start engine, a matter of fact dissconnect coil wire to avoid spark or a fire. with key on watch for fuel leaking out of regulator. have someone turn key on as you look at regulator.

I smell gas, but not all the time. It is most when my car idles for a minute. I have not noticed a gas leak.

this issue may be caused by a faulty fuel pressure regulator... next time you smell gas, pop the hood and look at the lines running to your regulator and you may notice gas leaking on the metal line running from your tank to the regulator. this would indicate that you need to replace the regulator; should cost about $250-$300

Just purchased a new gas tank. However upon turning valve and turning on the regulator the gas is leaking. Therefore i wanted to know if there is a problem with the tank or the regulator. If the latter,...

Hello, it is highly unlikely that the regulator is the problem, however I'd recommend that you remove the regulator from the tank and start over ensuring that the fitting seats tightly in the tank valve you tighten the fitting snug. If it still leaks, there is a spray that you can get to spray on the tank fitting and regulator to find the leak. You may need to contact the local gas company to get some or a furnace repair place or possibly even Sears, Lowes or Home Depot might have it. Spray it on the tank valve, regulator and any gas line joint that you can reach up to the burner valves. That should show you the area of the leak. Most all of the parts are replaceable including the regulator, but without your exact model number I couldn't tell you. I hope this helps you; if you do find this helpful please vote yes. Thank You!

Gas regulator won't let gas flow

Turn gas tank off and disconnect connection fron tank valve. Re-connect and turn gas on. Check for leaks with soapy water solution. Tighten if needed. Some regulators will detect leaks and cut off gas.

I put a new tank on and leaks gas around the

Hello,

It sounds like the "O" ring on your regulator is damaged. Inspect/replace it, or change out the regulator. I'd try the "O" ring first. They are readily available at Lowe's/H-Depot/Ace type stores. Take your regulator with you.

Best regards, W/D

Sears gas grill

If it was me I would return it. You did the right thing by testing it on another grill. You should not have to accept a new grill that is not working properly.

Marshall control valve . gas regulator valve

Replace the regulator as this is typically an issue where the diaphragm has separated from between the body and bonnet. This is not repairable. There is no recall for this as was in the case of the 450 regulator as it is a manufacturing variance that happens with all products. It passed initial QC, but in time the diaphragm moved.
