Bewen trying to hook up a surround sound system i bought and there is a no go on that...has anyone else hooked one up and what ports or cables did you buy/use? how did you do it?
If you are trying to hook up your stereo to your tv here is how it goes you go out and buy an audio video cable which are just four ports two on one end and two on another you have your stereo system on aux which means other for either movies, games, etc. and then if your tv has a audio video input you put two into the tv one for the audio and the other for the video hopefully your tvs or movies, etc should be coming out from your stereo rather than your tv

the audio video cable should be at least $1.00 -$2.00 at a dollar store
i meant to say you hook up two to your tv and the other two to your stereo
im sorry that my solution couldnt help you

ok....well just this out..i have tried doing all that......theres something you have to run on the menu to accept those changes and all....this tv is unlike any i have had....i have another all you do to hook up the surround is plug the red and white into it and then the green audio to the front of the tv....the TX-R2735 is confusing as heck.
i have the same problem...i have connected every single combination of wires and i am starting to get really pissed.....electronics has never stumped me till this tv....its a great tv but they had to make it confusing by adding all this menu...then audio....component set ups...
i am still looking for some help...not sure if i need to hit menu and do something there
