I'm very familiar with this machine please give more details. Is the machine telling you that the finisher is not connected properly? Are the jobs not being sent to the finisher and just the middle tray? Are you unable to select the out put as the finisher from the print driver? When you turn the machine on does the finisher make noise?
The sensor on the finisher was bent and was not making contact with the bracket on the copier. I found this switch and fixed it.
Thank you for your assistance.
check the door that the staples go in that door has been known to "stick". make sure also the guides are lined up on the finisher. ..Iv'e seen a few time with that model where even though the finisher looks like it where it should be its not, there is a little peg on the copier that should line up with a hole on the finisher i've seen it where the peg doesnt make it in the hole and the censor that tells the machine the finisher is attached is not activated. To verify its just with the finisher turn the machine off unlpug the
machine than disconnect the finisher cable, power the machine back up
and make sure its working with out the finisher. Never plug in or disconect the finisher cable while the machine is on this can cause a board to malfuntion.

xerox XC 1255 copier is 12 years old. prints approximately 1/2 page before printing stops and paper jam occurs. horizontal smudge line from side to side separates printed half from blank half of page. printed half of printed page is slightly crumpled. removing paper from inside the copier does not fix the problem. happens every time so cannot use copier. l thlnk the printing stops at the fuser.

Hello,
My office currently owns a Velo-Bind 123 that has been acting up. We believe that there is something wrong with the heating element that cuts and seals the plastic along the binding strip. You see, the metal strip that heats up and melts through the plastic prongs appears to be loose on one end, causing the last three prongs to not melt and seal up like the rest of them! Our only solution for submitting our reports on time has involved several matches and a pair of scissors!! So if anyone could provide us with some information about what might cause the machine to give out, how much it would cost to fix it and whether or not it would be worth the money to fix a machine so old!!
Thank you,
Lindsay
