Toast will not stay down in toaster when lever is depressed, actually lever will not stay down. how to fix it?

Most times this is caused by a build up of crumbs in the bottom of the toaster. There is a small electo magnet that holds the lever down, if it gets covered in crumbs it won't work. Take it outside turn it upside down and bang the heck out of it till everything comes out. If this does not work then check and make sure the magnet is still attatched inside. Other than that, this toaster gets terrible reviews from folks with issues just like yours. I can only assume the electronics are failing on these units far to quickly. It can be repaired if yuou send it in to the manufacture but that is really not economical. I hope the upside down banging cures the problem.

Please. Please jelp me I was told i needed a

From doing my research this dryer has a "turn to start switch." I don't want to sound wrong or demeaning here but, are you trying to "turn" or "push" the switch via the knob to start the unit?

The model number that crosses is GLER341AS2
Frigidaire.

The front of the handle has a large "U" clip. Use a screw drive and pry the clip out. It's a lot easier to do when the shifter is pulled all the way back to "1" or "2" but is doable in park still. The handle will then pull up. There will be a plastic piece in it that pushes down to release the lock in the shifter assembly. If when you push the plastic piece down it doesn't release the lock you will have to remove the shifter cover and take a look inside, to see what broke. It may require replacing the whole shifter assembly. You should be able to find the complete assembly used for fairly cheap.

I broke the plastic dail for the toaster/toast/bake/ dail. Where can i get a new plastic dial?

Contact Euro-Pro by phone at (800) 798-7398. b The replacement knobs will cost you about $10 (3 knobs and shipping and handling) Call-don't email as I got the wrong information when I emailed. You are better off speaking with a person, even if they are in India.

My 2009 Trailblazer rear wiper assembly broke off, don't ask how cuz my wife will just get angry. All thats there is the 1/2 inch nut and the knurled knob that was embeded in the plastic wiper assembly. I...

The knurled knob is where the wiper arm mounts and should not come off. From the sound of it you need to go to a junk yard or dealer and purchase a new arm.

How do I fit new diverta..

Usually this can go one of two ways, very easily, or absolutely a pain. You will need needle nose pliers, and patience. When I am in the shop working on these machines, it's always a matter of not getting frustrated, and using eccessive force.

If there is a coil spring you will want to pull that back gently, and place the arm back into place, always be gentle and patient. Then you may have to use a flat head screw driver to push the arm into final position.. again.. be patient, and gentle... this is all plastic except for the spring of course.

I hope this helps.

Hamilton Beach 22505 toaster info

Usually, four screws under the bottom remove the top but the toast loader lever knob is usually press fitted on. Some units have bent tabs to hold them together if screws are not used. To remove the knob, freeze the unit (to shrink the knob/lever) then place a flat piece of wood like a ruler wrapped in cloth on the housing behind the knob and use a large bladed screwdriver to try to work the knob off. If you break it superglue and epoxy, and drawer knobs not plastic or wood might work as a replacement.

My toaster doesn't stay in the down (toast) position unless I hold it down

I solved this problem on my Cuisinart CPT-90 Classic Style Toaster twice for two different problems. Of course: make sure it's UNPLUGGED while working on it and WATCH IT several times when testing so you can unplug it first and then extinguish it if it catches on fire.

1st time: There is a small solenoid mounted in the center of the circuit board. When the pop up mechanism is pressed down the circuit energizes and the the solenoid magnetically locks a plastic clip that holds the spring loaded pop up mechanism down until it's done toasting. The plastic mounts for the circuit board broke or weakened until the whole circuit board would tilt up and the solenoid clip would slip under the spring tension. I used a plastic tie-wrap to hold the circuit board firmly in place and that worked to this day.

2nd time : The four copper reed tabs can be miss aligned. If they
do not make contact, the circuit will not energize the solenoid.
The reason they warped was that, over time, the contacts build up carbon and have more resistance. Resistance equals heat. The
plastic base of the copper reed switch melted and misaligned the reeds. The second time I cleaned the reeds and bent them back into position, The third time the the plastic was to badly burned to be reliable. If I had cleaned the contacts once a year, it probably would still work now. I haven't found a place to buy a replacement reed switch so my toaster is toast. If anyone knows where to order them, I'd like to know. If the white plastic base of the reed switch is not melted, then they can be cleaned and aligned.

Note: When aligning the copper contacts, don't just hold down the pop up mechanism. The pop up mechanism will push lower than the position for toasting. Push it down and then hold the solenoid clip instead. Then the two center reeds will be at the correct spread.
