Generic problem for all Digital Cameras

Battery will not charge (by 17 users)

posted by hellsbells on Sep 06, 2007

My digital camera worked fine yesterday.
I tried to charge it as normal using the charger, but instead of a continuous red light indicating charging I see a flashing red light.
Normally the camera takes around 2 hours to charge, but after this time the red light was still flashing and the camera will not switch on, presumably as it has not charged.

Could this be the battery? or perhaps the charger?

I had the same problem and called Casio Technical Support at 800-435-7732. The person who answered was very nice and said they did have some issues with their lithium battery and would send me out a new battery free of charge.

Battery does not charge, red flashing light, brand new camera. Very bad for Samsung!

I went to use my camera on saturday having not used it for a while and when I tried to switch it on nothing happened. I assumed that I needed to charge it and left it to charge overnight however when I came to take it off the charger I noticed that the charge light was still red and that it was flashing, and there was still no power getting to the camera. Does this mean that the battery is not charging, and if so why, and what can I do to solve this problem, I have this camera less than a year.

I have the same problem as well. Instead of a constant red light, I get a flashing light and it goes on indefinitely (tried overnight several times). Camera will not operate at all!

I just bought a new ex-z75, put the new battery to the charger and the red light kept flash forever. after the battery having been charged for two hours, insert the battery to the camera, the camera did not turn on.
what a shame.

I have a similar problem. The charger shows correct but on completion the camera wont switch on. It is not the battery as I bought a new one (£33!)
What next
