Hx2410 won't connect with the computer, i'm put as guest

Ok.. so my dad had a wireless connection installed and the activesync was working fine on his computer (Windows XP same as mine) and so when he gave it to me I installed the active sync on my computer it wouldn't connect with the device, it said that there was a problem, so i did a clean reset and cleaned everything out now it doesn't have anything and Activesync will put me as GUEST and it won't connect with the Pocket Pc. Also, when i click on START>Activesync it says that i need to install activesync on my computer and then connect the device but i've done this about three times by the way i use 4.0 activesync
