Engine compatibility for a 1996 maxda Mx-3 precidia

Australian version, also called Mazda MX-3 Precidia, Eunos 30X, Eunos Presso, Autozam AZ-3, Mazda AZ-3.

On 1.8L (K8) and 2.5L Engines Firing order: 1-2-3-4-5-6 Distributor rotation: Counterclockwise

You can find the fuse box, under the steering wheel. Remove the plastic cover, and look on the back for the diagram to see which fuse to replace. On the diagram you will also be able the see the amperage of that particular fuse. Usually would be around 20 AMP.

YOUR ENGINE TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT NOT WORKING.ANY TIME COOLANT BOILS OUT OVER FLOW JUG.YOUR ENGINE IS OVER HEATING.REPLACE RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP AND THERMOSTAT.THERMOSTAT LOCATED IN CYLINDER HEAD FOLLOW RADIATOR HOSE IT WILL TAKE YOU RIGHT TO THERMOSTAT.THE THERMOSTAT IS IN THE HOUSING.

Before you spend the time and money,get the auto choke checked.It may make the car hard to start.Basics 1st.Hope this helps

1. Depressurize and drain the cooling system. 2. Loosen the alterantor adjustment and remove the belt.
3. Remove the water pump pulley.
4. Remove all the timing belt covers.
5. Loosen the timing (camshaft) belt tensioner and slip the timing belt off the camshaft toothed pulley (ensure you do not move the positon of the camshaft)
6. Unbolt the lower radiator hose fitting and heater retrun pipe.
7. Unbolt the waterpump from the block (5 bolts).
8. Remove all traces of the old gasket before mounting the new pump (Permatex spray on gasket remover works well).
9. Install the new pump and reassemble in reverse order to above.

It's more than likely an issue with your air intake. Pop the hood and take a look at the accordian tube that comes off the airbox. This is known to have cracks in it. If you see any, fill them with shoe goo, ductape, anything. This causes rough idle and shuddering. Also check your distributer cap and rotor, as a worn cap/rotor will cause this. IT could also be a fuel injector/pump issue, but check the above mentioned items first. Also make sure your oil is topped up.

yes it can happen just like that but do you hear any clicking noises at all whenyou turn the key?

The 6 cylinder that comes with it is a 1992 Mazda MX-3 1.8L MFI DOHC 6cyl

need ot know when it stalled, as in what did it do when it stalled, how it sounded, Ect.

the starter is located behind the engine and below the throttle body, remove the intake to see it better
