Husqvarna - IPL, 455 Rancher/ 460, 2006-02, Chain Saw (example - may not be your saw):
http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/usa/2006/I06000/I0601076.pdf
See Detail A, pn 503 89 08-02. You can use a Crescent Wrench on one of the ears (left end) to reset it. With the cover positioned with pn 503 89 08-02 in the upper left rotate it CW until it nests, to reset it.
This works quite well:

If you do not have a vise a large C clamp to a work surface might work, you may still need a block or two of wood.
You can download the IPL for you saw here:
HusqvarnaUSA.com
http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/
Enter the 3 digit model number (no XPs, Es, just the numbers)
Serial number decode – useful when downloading IPLs and Manuals
06 1500198
06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000)
15 = week produced - March
00198 = 198th unit Husky produced that week
I will wager you will NEVER again remove the cover with the brake set. Me either! Good Luck. HTH

A Husqvarva IPL for a 455 Rancher 2005-01, follows (may not be your saw):
http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/usa/2005/I05000/I0501036.pdf
See print "A" (clutch cover) pn 537 28 64-01 & pn 503 21 70-10, if missing or loose these may cause your problem. If not an inspection of the parts beneath may disclose the defect.
If the bar is what can be moved pn 537 28 65-01 or 537 28 66-01 may be stripped. After I determined what parts need replacement, I would contact a local Husky Dealer. They may have these parts on hand and if not ordering through them should save you shipping and handling fees.
If your saw was not manufactured between Jan 2005 and Mar 2005 you can find your IPL here:

SOURCE: turning up the bar oil?
An “OM, 455e Rancher, 455 Rancher, 460 Rancher, 2009-09, EN, FR, ES” Follows (may not be your saw):
http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/HOUS/HOUS2009/HOUS2009_1151382-49.pdf
An excerpt from page 38 of the above OM follows (forcing it may render it inoperative):
Adjustment of the oil pump
Adjustments are made by turning the screw using a screwdriver or combination spanner.
The machine is supplied from the factory with the screw set to position 2.
Turning the screw clockwise will reduce the oil flow and turning the screw anti-clockwise will increase the oil flow.
Recommended settings:
• Bar 13"-15": Position 1 (full CW)
• Bar 15"-18": Position 2 (center)
• Bar 18"-20": Position (full CCW)
These recommendations apply to Husqvarna’s chain oil, for other chain oils increase the oil flow by one step.
WARNING! The engine must be stopped when making adjustments.

Thank You for using FixYa.
SOURCE: Chain is not getting oil. 3 hours on new 455
I saw many issues with the oiler on this model, the oil pump itself never goes wrong, there was a later filter as the original was too fine and would not allow sticky oil through, there was also issues with the oil pipe kinking and not allowing oil through, there was also a mod to increase the oil flow,it meant removing the oil pump shaft and increasing the throw by grinding the back of the pump shaft, if you have cleaned the externall oil ways and the problem persists,then it does lie deeper, you could try to thin the oil out and try again, if no better this will be a shop job. If you feel you could do it yourself, let me know and i will try to go through the mod with you.
