Excel gives error "compile error" excel 2007

There are a bunch of compile errors.

Here is the most common since you did not include the entire error...

This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
  • The Microsoft Office Startup folder or the Microsoft Excel Startup folder contains either or both of the following Adobe Acrobat PDFMaker add-in template files: Pdfmaker.dot
    Pdfmaker.xla
  • Norton AntiVirus software is installed.

Method 1: Download the latest version of the add-in for Adobe Acrobat 5.0 loadTOCNode(2, 'resolution'); To obtain an updated add-in for Adobe Acrobat 5.0, visit the following Adobe Web site: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/update.html (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/update.html) Note Microsoft does not support downloading and installing add-ins from the Adobe Web site. If you need help, you must contact Adobe Technical Support. uparrow.gifBack to the top Method 2: Move the files loadTOCNode(2, 'resolution'); Move the Pdfmaker.dot file and, if present, the Pdfmaker.xla file from the Office or Excel Startup folder to a different folder on your hard disk. For example, you can move the files to the My Documents folder.

To have us move these files for you, go to the “Fix it for me” section. If you would rather fix this problem yourself, go to the “Let me fix it myself” section. Fix it for me loadTOCNode(3, 'resolution'); To remove these files automatically, click the Fix this problem link. Click Run in the File Download dialog box, and follow the steps in this wizard.

Fix this problem
Microsoft Fix it 50303

Note this wizard may be in English only; however, the automatic fix also works for other language versions of Windows.

Note If you are not on the computer that has the problem, you can save the automatic fix to a flash drive or to a CD, and then you can run it on the computer that has the problem. Let me fix it myself loadTOCNode(3, 'resolution'); Note Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.

To remove these files yourself this, follow these steps.
  1. Click Start, point to Search, and then click For Files or Folders.
  2. In the Search for file or folders named box, type pdfmaker.dot pdfmaker.xla.
  3. In the Look In box, click the disk drive where Windows is installed, such as C:, and then click Search Now.

The Pdfmaker.dot file is located in one of the following folders:
    • C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Startup (Word 2000)
    • C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\Startup (Word 2002)
    • C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\Startup
The Pdfmaker.xla file in located in one of the following folders:
    • C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Xlstart (Excel 2000)
    • C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\Xlstart (Excel 2002)
    • C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\Xlstart
  4. In the Search Results window, right-click the file for each file that is found, and then click Cut.
  5. On your desktop, right-click the My Documents folder, and then click Paste.
uparrow.gifBack to the top Method 3: Visit the Symantec Web site for Norton Antivirus information and product updates loadTOCNode(2, 'resolution'); To resolve this behavior, visit the following Symantec Web site for more information and product updates: http://www.symantec.com/support/index.jsp (http://www.symantec.com/support/index.jsp)

Cannot find c:\msoffice\excel\LIBRARY\AUTOSAVE.XLA

Something happened to your autosave add-in.
You don't specify Office version, so I must be vague: you have to find an "Add-ins" option in the Excel menu, and disable the Autosave Add-in.
If you want the autosave function, you'll have to reinstall Office.

Microsoft visual basic message compile error in

It seems as if Microsoft has a knowledge base entry concerning this issue, see if this helps --> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307410

It appears as if the problem is within the startup folder, which is located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\Startup ( NOTE: if you have Office 2007 then it would be in OFFICE12, Office 2003 = OFFICE11, 2002 = OFFICE10). Check out the above link for more specifics.

Hope that this helps....

Module compile error

the Avery add in includes a VBA macro which gets compiled. the Avery macro is not compatible with office 2010 because unfortunately microsoft keep changing things so presumably you have installed office 2010. if you could find the offending module and look at the code, then it could be corrected. Avery are pretty POOR to not be able to correct their own code. Microsoft deal with it here https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-word/compile-error-in-hidden-module-azwizardmodul/fac4e653-de70-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5?msgId=7e73aa04-eb70-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5&auth=1 and i must say thats a pretty terrible response from them as their labels creator is AWFUL and its handy to have the avery one. I use the Avery Denison Design Pro 5(free download) and thats useful to have.
