What in the H- is wrong with my computer?

I am totally computer illerate. I know how to turn the thing on, use the internet, send mail, all that stuff. But, I can't figure out for the life of my whats happened to my Dell. My computers worked fine for a while but just a few weeks ago it's been really messed up. One day it was normal, and now... my internets been deleted, my files are gone, and it says I can't change anything because I'm not an "authorized user"? It's my computer! I'm seriously getting fed up with my computer and I'm about ready to chuck it. What happened and how can I fix it? It keeps telling me that I need to delete files but again it's telling me I'm not an authorized user. I'm not sure if this is considered a hardware problem, or a software- but I do know is that my University requires that you have their security system and password acces to your computer. Please, anyone that can help me... I'm desperate....

The problem i think lies with the virus infection. if you do have an antiviru update it first and let it do the boot scan as some virus act like a windows files after the computer is on. to pacify this pleae update your antivirus and let it do boot scan and let it delete all the infected files. 2. If you don't have an antivirus go this link and download the avast home edition and use. i usualy recommend the avast antivirus. 3. With this download spybot search and destroy and let it scan for any spyware also. try it out

Oh I am sorry to hear that. There must be something wrong with the mail software or with its settings.
Are you connected to the internet?
If you can find the manual to the mail software you should be able to set the mail software correctly if not you have to visit the PC doctor.
I am certain that he can help you to put your E-mail right.
all the best

Can't use either Microsoft Live Mail or Lookout Express v6 with Belkin Router. Can't send or receive email Can you tell me what the email setup is for either one? Both email programs probably use the same...

Ask COMCAST for the names of their POP-server and of their MAIL-server, and configure Outlook Express to use those names.

Microsoft Live Mail is "web-based" -- all you need to do is to web-surf to their web-site, login, and click "send/receive" or click "compose" and later "send".

I dont know the way how to email to thai kises

I assume that you are using Yahoo Mail. On your internet explorer address bar type when the site open choose yahoo mail from the list of links on the left. The mail login page open, enter your yahoo ID and password. Your mail should open at this point, choose inbox to see the mails you have. To send a new mail, from your inbox choose new, enter the address of the person you want to send the mail to and then the subject. Type your message and click the send to send the mail.

To reply a mail sent to you, open the mail, click on reply or just press "r" type your message and the click send.

When i try to get my mail it tells me repeatedly to verify that my username and password are correct for the server

There are several possibilities for that:
  1. You entered the wrong username
  2. You entered the wrong password
  3. Entered the wrong username and password
  4. Keyboard could have sticky keys
The possible solutions would be:
  1. Click on the "forgot username and password" link
  2. Answer the security questions it'll ask (birthday, name of pet, where you met your spouse, etc.)
  3. After that they'll send you your username and you make a new password
  4. But first try opening your mail with another computer or keyboard

Let me know how it goes bro.
