Problem for LG 42LC2D 42 in. HDTV LCD Television
LG 37LC7D remote doesn't work
The remote control for our NEW LG flat screen 37LC7D tv is not working after only 3 days home from the store! It worked fine for the first 2 days, but now I must use the buttons on the side of the TV to power on, use the menu, adjust volume, etc. We had successfully programmed the Tivo remote to power the new LG tv, but that isn't working either. The green light on the tv will flash when I press a button on either remote, but nothing happens. Is our TV a lemon? Is the infared broken? I'm not sure what to do. I can't believe it's only been 3 days!

- Remote no longer works. Lasted about one week and works maybe once a month, if that. I bought two LG sets, the 42 inch has the problem. The remotes both operate the smaller set without any issues.- GuestOct 19, 2008

- I have the same problem. I have changed the batteries, and attempted to find and reprogram code for the remote.I must know use the buttons on the T.V. I have a universal remote that works on other items, but not my LG.
This makes me think it is the T.V.- Guest

Turns out there is a problem with certain LG models made in Mexico during May. Not only did the remote stop working, but the TV started shutting itself on and off randomly. Took it back and exchanged it for a Panasonic. Not putting up with that, LG.
