Problem for Projection Televisions
Generic problem for all Projection Televisions
Magnavox big screen will not power on but...
tv on off button blinks but wont power tv on, we had a tech come to look at it , he got the tv to come on and said something to the wife that we need a new part it would be about 500 bucks i dont know what he did or exactly what component he told her was bad anyway the tv is back to a blinking power button only....help please...

- I have a similar problem with a Mitsubishi WS-48313. Status light will flash for a couple seconds when plugged in, but unit does not turn on. No clicking noises or anything, just nothing happens.- gregman_1Jan 29, 2008

- I have a short in mine. Sometimes it won't turn on. I hear a faint clicking sound. I accidently bumped it and the set came on!! After that if it was moved I would bump it then hit the power button until it came on. I then founded out if I stuck my hand under it more to the right facing the screen and tapped the bottom it comes on. It's been this way for 3 yrs now lol.- florida863Best Solution

Need model number really, but sounds like a bad SSB module(small signal board). It would have to be replaced and depending on the model they can be expensive.

it sounds like one bad bulb if one isnt making contact it will just buzz or not work at all
