How to lock a stolen or lost phone - Samsung GTS3653 Cell Phone

  • Anonymous Aug 17, 2013

a stolen or lost phone can be locked up to avoid unauthorized form accessing even if the thief changes the SIM card..! This made possible by using the IMEI code No. sent to the manufacturing company of your phone, and authorizing the company to lock the phone so it becomes useless to the thief. This helps avoid stealing of phones since it will be of no use.

Phone was reported lost or stolen

Ifyour mobile phoneis lost or stolen you can inform your cell phone provider with your IMEInumber. Your cell phone provider can then put the serial number on a shareddatabase. This list stops this particular phone from registering on any networkand will be useless for anyone even if the mobile phone's SIM cardis changed.Otherwise I suggest you contact your cell phone providerASAP. Hi, I recently found a model LG-VX11000 cell phone while on holiday's out of the country. It has some minor scuff marks but appears to work fine however, it is locked so I can't access much of the...

this is probably already added to the lost or stolen phone list

the only way to get the lock code at this point is to take it to the store and have them get it off the PST machine

but when they check the ESN they will probably tell you that it is stolen and take it away from you (if it had been added to the lost or stolen list)

I cant get into my phone

This type of lock is called a Subsidy block. Carriers have placed these locks to keep phones that were lost or stolen from being reactivated. If you have your receipt, you can call the carrier for the unlock code. However, they will require information, such as the IMEI code and SIM card # to determine if this phone has ever been reported lost or stolen. That said, you will not get the unlock code until that carrier completes their research (48-72 hrs). That is only if the phone is not lost or stolen.
