Re: Sanyo DS 31520
Make sure your got the right cable mode selected through the remote or autual switch on back of tv. if not it youll only see cable channels up to channel 13 that means in is standard tv mode or air. once you selected cable ...run autoprogram and it find all the channels for you. these newer sets, dont bother with looking for a cable switch, its all done automaticly when you hit that autoprogram button
but it would be in the menu under setup.

take down the remote and clean the circuit board with alcohol probably some kind of liquid or dirt got onto the remote.if that does not solve your problem.take a pencil and trace your contacts that the pad lay on that enable you change channels on the tv.it that does not work then it is time to buy a new remote.you can get original remote at partstore.com.good luck.
I have the sanyo part # 6450526084 . There is another number but could not find it online. There is a place called www.tiptoptuner.com that might sell you the tuner outright as they mostly rebuild them . The are the cheapest place i know of . You want to use the contact link and tell them the part # and see if they can cross it for you as i gave you part number. The ID # you refer to is on the tuner shield that you say is missing . Or you can google the part # to see what you can find should start with 1AV4FBAM???? . Good luck
Ours is doing the same thing except on Video 1. I called Sanyo customer service and they said I need the original remote. They were willing to sell me one for $20. Here is what I did instead. I used a cable box and hooked the cable in to it. Then I took the type of cables that will hook into my video 1 slot and plugged them in there and plugged them into the back of the cable box in the "cable out" positions. It worked ! If you do not have a cable box you might try a DVD/VCR combo or a VCR. Good Luck
