Power up problem

When I plug in the power cord the fans start up, the green and red LED's light, then the red LED goes out and the fans stop, this continues until I pull the power cord. This sequence will sometimes stop if I hold the power button in for 5 or more seconds. When the power button is then pressed the same on - off sequence starts again. Some times when I relesse the power button the fans start again immediately. The red LED flashes on and off with the fans following the flashing, also the light on the power button follows the red LED flashing.

    The 1st solution (hold the power button in for 2 minutes) corrected the problem. THe second solution was not helpful as the power supply was working. The 3rd solution was somewhat helpful but proved the power button was working properly. Thanks to all for the help
    I Could not get the appreciation ratings to work.

One thing u can do also. Open your system case, remove cmos battery clean cmos battery and then insert like same. And restart your system. Other wise check power connections voltage. If it is ok then definitely it will wirk.

Turn off your pc..............disconnect everything from the back of the pc and hold the power button for 2 mins.and then reconnect everything back and restart ur pc.....if that dosen't help open the pc and check the connections of power supply or else check whether any wire is obstructing the fans or not........im sure this is going to help u.... regards free booter Good Luck

Turn off your pc..............disconnect everything from the back of the pc and hold the power button for 2 mins.and then reconnect verything back and restart ur pc.....if that dosent help open the pc and check the connections of power supply or else check whether any wire is obstructing the fans or not........im sure this is hgoing to help u.... regards free booter

Hi, you most probably have a sticky on/off switch on your case. Turn the power off. Remove the side cover, trace your wires from the front switch to the mobo, identify witch is the power switch [this is usualy marked with PWR or PWS on the board and also on the wire from the switch. Disconnect this wire then turn on the power and use a fine screwdriver to bridge the two pins on the board, if all works properly then replace the switch Regards mistyman

Two reasons I could think of

Low toner.

Pre-set counter on cartridge reaches limit.

Try removing the toner cartridge and powering the unit on.

While unit is plugged in, re-install cartridge.

Not knowing how old the printer is a the amount of use, it is had to answer

It sounds like your lamp may need replacing. Before you go that route try all of these:
-Make sure the lamp cover on the bottom is fully attached. -If you unplug the power cord while the fan is rotating, the lamp may not turn on about 1 minute when you plug the power cord next time. After the status indicator stops blinking press the power button to turn it back on. May have to press it multiple times. -If your Power Light continues to blink red/green then you should contact your dealer.

TV was working fine when we went to bed Monday (August 30) night. Got up the next morning and turned it on. It appeared it was going to come on, the green light flashed and then the lamp indicator light...


1. Red status LED, self-diagnosis error 44, check for open F9A06 on the Power PCB part # 283P128050 on the Power PCB 2. Red lamp LED, self diagnosis error 34. Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if missing replace the Power PCB part # 930B921002 3. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature, this can be mistaken as a no power condition. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds 4. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Check for 3.2 volts DC at connector LE pin 3 and 4 on the Control PCB, if low suspect problems with the switches/buttons on the Control PCB part # 935D776001 5. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Keyboard is not locked and key inputs at connector LE pin 3 and 4 check good. Suspect the E2P PCB part # 934C121001 6. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) Disconnect the USB connector from the card reader to the front from the Chassis, if the LED stops blinking after 70 seconds replace the Card Reader part # 299P271010. 7. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) Disconnecting the USB connector from the Card Reader did not help. Remove connector FC from the FMT PCB and plug the unit in, if the LED stops blinking after 70 seconds with FC removed suspect a problem on the FMT PCB (part # 930B924002), if the LED keeps blinking with connector FC removed suspect a problem on the DM PCB (part # 934C116002). 8. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) On the DM PCB (part # 934C116002) check C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4 (1000 UFD, 16V, 105C), if any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C). Gateway 310 X will not power on


Hi. this is a failed power supply. the power supply pack will have to be replaced. it located on the rear side of the tower in the upper corner. its where the power cord plugs into. replace the power pack and this will fix the issue at hand.

Fast green blink


Perform the following steps, in order, until power is restored or it is determined that there is a hardware failure:

1.Disconnect everything from the computer, including the power cord.
2.With the power cord disconnected , press the power button on the front of the computer for five seconds. Plug in the power cord and test to see if the computer can turn on. If not, continue using these steps.
NOTE: If the power supply fan makes an inconsistent grinding sound or stops and starts erratically, replace the power supply

3. With the power cord removed, flip the red voltage selector switch to the opposite position. Wait about five seconds, and then switch the red voltage selector switch back to its original location. Ensure that the voltage selector switch is on the correct setting, 115V for North America.
Performing this step ensures that the voltage switch is engaged and set correctly for your country/region.

4. Plug in the power cord and test to see if the computer can turn on. If not, continue using these steps.
5. Plug a lamp into the same outlet to see if the wall outlet has power. Try the computer in a different outlet in order to eliminate the outlet as a possible source of the issue. Test both to see if the wall outlets have power.
6. Remove all extension cords, power strips, surge protectors and any converters that remove ground. Plug the power cable directly to the wall outlet. Test for power. If this fixes the issue, find the device that is causing the issue and do not use it.
NOTE: If you find the device that was causing the problem was a surge protector, resetting a breaker or fuse on the surge protector may fix the issue.
8. Remove all attached devices except for keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
9. Remove any internal component that was recently added, such as video card, memory, CD, DVD, and hard drives. An added device may take more power than the power supply is rated for. If the problem goes away when the component is removed, the only option is to upgrade the power supply to power supply with a higher wattage rating.
10. Check the power switch:
a. With the power cord disconnected, press the power button on the front of the PC. The button should release easily and not stick in the socket.
  • If the button sticks, it should be replaced or serviced.
  • If the power button does not stick and appears to be functioning, continue using these steps.
11. With the power cord disconnected, remove the case or side panel.
  • Follow the wires from the power button on the front of the computer to their connection on the motherboard.
  • Look at the power switch cables connected to the motherboard. If the cable has become disconnected, connect the power switch cable connector to the connector on the motherboard.
  • Replace the side panel, plug in the power cord and test to see if the computer can turn on. If not, continue using these steps.
12. Find the defective part:
  • With the power cord disconnected, remove the case or side panel.
  • Disconnect all power cable connectors from their connectors on the motherboard and from the back of internal devices (the back of drives). Make sure to label or remember where each cable connects for future reference.
  • Replace the side panel, plug in the power cord, and examine the light on the back of the power supply:

If the LED is on solid and is not flashing, the power supply is probably good and the problem is most likely caused by a defective component (processor, memory, PCI card) or a defective motherboard. Have the computer serviced, or remove the components and replace them, one at a time, to find and replace the defective component.

14. If the LED is still flashing (it should not flash with all connectors removed), plug the power cable into a different power outlet that is known to be good. If the LED still flashes, the power supply should be replaced.

15. If the LED light is now off, plug the power cable into a different power outlet that is known to be good. If the LED stays off, the power supply should be replaced.

NOTE: If an electrical storm or power surge has recently occurred, then it is more likely that the power supply, the modem, or motherboard is damaged and requires replacement.

Try these steps.
If Power supply light does not turn on (or no power supply LED)

Plug in the power cord and test to see if the computer can turn on. If not, continue using these steps.
10. If all of the above steps have been tried and the power supply light remains off, use the steps in the next section, use the next section Power supply light comes on or flashes , to reseat the cables and check the power switch connector.

Hard drive fan stop working computer stop, yes I have power but but,computer will not tyrn on PC will not power up when I woke up this morning and went to use it the green light on the front was flashing...

Power Up Problem


You have a 8.6v supply error according to the 7 error code being displayed, what you can try is when the set goes to blinking disconnect the Y sustain board (if looking at the tv from the back the board on the left) from the upper left side of the power supply, if the error code stops then you know your Y sustain board is pulling down your power supply and causing the error, if the error code continues you have a probelm with your Logic Board (located under your Small Signal Board) disconnect this from the Y sustain board and see if the error code stops if it does you know that the Logic board is bad, if the error code is still blinking then the 8.6v supply line from the Power supply is faulty and the Power Supply needs to be replaced

LG LCD TV Standby Light Flashing Red Continuously


I have had this same problem twice in the past 3 months. So far both times I've been able to get it back after a week or two. I'm not sure what works, but unplugging and detaching the antenna and cable and waiting a few days seems to be the key. In both instances, I unplugged it for a few days then plugged it in for a few days and repeated the processes until I eventually got the steady red led. Both times prior to the red led the led would flash red then green and make a clickiing noise for several hours before I was able to get it working again.

Will not power up


pull battery and cord. push on / off button for 60 sec. put battery back in and plugg in power and boot up.. something else to try is some one elses battery to boot up in.
