My tv keeps defaulting to the Video1 blue screen. Everytime I switch it back to the cable screen to watch tv it will stay there for about a minute and then switch back to the Video1 screen all on its own. Please help! How do I make the TV default and STAY on cable?????

I have a flat screen and Dish Network for my cable. I switched the "source" to watch a dvd, and when I switched it back to channel 3 I have a blue screen. cable (dish network) is on and working....

It all depends on how your dish cable is connected to your television. The possibilities I can think of would be by composite cables (not HD)--these cables are the yellow red and white combo. It could also be component--the video cables are the blue, green and red. The other possibility is a single HDMI cable which looks like a rectangle and delivers both the video and the sound from the cable source to the T.V. as one cord. Depending on which of these you are using to output the signal from the cable box to the T.V. will determine which "source" you should select when trying to watch tv. Hope this helps!

My Insignia tv keeps defauting to Video1 screen every minute!!!

Turn off your television. Try disconnecting all external signal sources (except the antenna or cable) from your television.Turn on the television and see if this resolves the problem. If it does then you may have a faulty cable connection to your television. Change out the cables one by one to find the bad cable and replace it. If this does not solve your problem. Turn off for a period of hours(This may allow your television set to reset itself) and test again. If you still have the same problem, Then you need to call customer service for servicing and technical advise. Call this number for service : 1-877-467-4289. Hope this helps you with your problem.

You must take your unit in for servicing for intermittent control switching ic problems. You may just have some bad solder joints that appear after periods of use. You may also have failing solid state components like the switching ic or supporting components. It is best to have the unit tested and repaired in a service center where they have all the service infromation. You can call insignia customer support at 1-877-467-4289 You can also check the Insignia website for customer support at www.insignia-products.com. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

No movie picture

If you want to record from cable to your vcr the usual configuration is either cable to cable box, cable box to vcr, and vcr to tv. If you want to get rid of the snowy pictures, you can plug the cable box directly to the tv and separately to the vcr, and you can also plug the vcr into the tv. but the tv has to have two inputs
the best configuration will be the black, screw in, coaxial cable from the cable box to the television and the red, white and yellow RCA plugs from the cable box to the vcr in.
then the vcr our red whit and yellow cables to the back of the tv.
To watch vcr, switch the tv to video mode
to watch cable, switch tv to channel 3 or 4, depending on the cable service.
please let me know if you have questions.

Sony a/v reciever not sending video to tv.....

I don´t know if I´ve understood, but the best way to "pass" video signals to TV through receivers is using a stereo VCR, where you plug in any antenna. Then you connect VCR´s audio and video channels to the receiver. Turning on all equipment, select video1 source. You will hear sound through the system and watch video signal on TV. Hope this may help.
