MY Sidekick is having Trouble.....

So an unlocked Sidekick on ATT will only be able to do text and phone. The other sidekick features require the t-mobiles sidekick data plan. It is hard coded to the phone

to change txt message tone:
go to text message main screen then press the top left button.scroll down to settings and click. then scroll down and ull see "new message alert" and there u go.
to the same for picture messaging.
ring tone:
go to phone
click the top left button
scroll down to settings, then general
scroll down the incoming call. and clik on that and u will have options

yes, tmobile does unlock the sidekick 2008 for FREE!!. i promise you this works, i just did this today, the agent told me that they dont usually advertise it.
So here are the steps.
1.call tmobile but dont ask the first representative to unlock it.
2.ask him or her to transfer you too customer care.
3.then ask the customer care agent for the SIM SUB SIBY unlock code.
4. he or she will ask you for the IMEI number, if you dont know that number, just dial *#06# or you can find it on the back of your phone under the battery. IMEI number is a 15 digit code.
this will let you use your sidekick 08 in another country.

Well for the past week or so, Sidekick has been having problems with receiving text messages from other service providers such as AT&T and Sprint. It is best that you call up customer service to find a solution.

hi you have to call tmobile and let them know that you have the sidekick id and you need to get it setup with the sidekick plan

I had the same problem with the sidekick i bought off of ebay , when you cal customer care just tell them you got it off ebay and you need the old users information deleted, they will give you step by step instructions on how to do so. Remember to not call on your sidekick becasue you will have to restart the phone.

Hi my name is femi, am from nigeria... i have a tmobile sidekick3, any time i on it, it has for code to unlock device...but when i insert sim it has for code to use the t-mobile service..have bein trying to unlock the phone but i dont get the code. i will be glad if my problem can be solve.....my email is...femifamous2007@yahoo;com.......... wating to here from you asap... am still wating to here from you cos i need it now.....

The default key is either 1234 or 0000. If its a code you or someone put in and you dont know it then you will have to call tmobile customer service to reset it for you. I believe they can do it via telephone straight to you cell. It should be free for tmobile customers.

You'll need to contact T-Mobile customer service by dialing 611 to see what they can do for you. They're the ones who would make the decision about sending you a new phone.
