What do you need to do with the unit at the bottom?

Lost the manual, new user. Unsure of the big removable unit at the base of the machine. There's a calendar with dates ringed and from the pictures it looks like you put water in it. Once a month maybe. But how much and why?

User manual of beetel cordless X78

See pages 26 and 27 of the manual ("Selecting a base station/Enrolling a handset")
at https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1211269/Detewe-Beetel.html?page=29#manual

You will need the "PARK" number on the bottom of the base unit, or, if there aren't any other base stations within range (~ 60-600 meters, depending on building environment), at least the last four digits of the PARK.

Hi i have the quinny zapp extra and one of the adapters is stuck to the seat and can't remove it.

Hi Maria

The grey catch locks the adaptors in place to prevent them coming out and becoming lost when the Zapp Xtra seat unit is removed and the chassis is folded.

To unlock the grey catch lift it up and then you will be able to slide the adaptor off easily. Refer to your User Manual if you're unsure.

I am trying to replace a handeset on my E5640 answering system. I have followed the procedures to deregister the existing handsets but it will not accept the base code for the last one. The handset I am...

  • Your telephone can accommodate up to four cordless handsets. You can add new handsets (Model E560-2, sold separately) at any time, but each must be registered with the base before use.
  • The handset provided with your telephone is automatically registered as Handset 1.
  • Additional handsets will be assigned numbers in the order they are registered (2, 3 or 4). You can register a maximum of four handsets.
To de-register all handsets
• Unplug the power supply from the base unit.
• Remove all handsets from the charge cradles and base.
• Plug in the power supply while pressing and holding the HANDSET LOCATOR button.
• Continue pressing HANDSET LOCATOR until the IN USE and CHARGING indicators are lit (this could take up to 10 seconds).
• Release the HANDSET LOCATOR button.
• All handsets will display: ENTER BASE ID: XXXXXXXXXX
Once the base indicators turn off (up to 30 seconds), the handsets have been de-registered from the base, and can now be re-registered.

To re-register a handset:
• Make sure your handset batteries are properly installed and charged.
• Your handset will display "ENTER BASE ID".
• Enter the 15-digit Base ID number from the bottom of the base unit.
• Press SELECT to accept the new code and complete re-registration.

To re-register a handset to a new base unit:
• Make sure your handset batteries are properly installed and charged.
• Unplug the old base unit. Your handset will display "SEARCHING...".
• Install the new base unit by plugging it into an electrical outlet and phone jack.
• Press and hold the SELECT key until the handset displays "ENTER BASE ID".
• Enter the new 15-digit Base ID number from the bottom of the new base unit.
• Press SELECT to accept the new code and complete re-registration. The handset is now registered to the new base.

I have lost my user manuel and I need to reset my Base GE5.8GHz I have a GE 5.8 GHz cordless phone system

Your system must have been rebranded by GE since their page for telephone manuals doesn't have the number listed you gave:
GE Phone manuals
In case you made an error in the model number, you should be able to find your manual there.

Wish to remove bottom ofpowerhead-Kenmore Progressive 11629912990

I have a whispertone vacuum, different model #, but maybe instructions will be the same. Turns out I didn't need a new belt, just clean out the crud and reset overload protector. The instructions in the manual tell you to remove the light cover and bulb first. To do this, press in and lift both sides. Push in and turn bulb counterclockwise to remove. (you need to do this because the next step involves turning the unit over). This takes you to
Step 2. Unscrew the cover screws ( on either side of bulb).
Step 3. Turn unit over. To remove cover, insert screwdriver at cover tabs on both sides and twist to release tabs.
Step. 4 Turn unit right side up. Press handle release pedal and lower the swivel. Tilt cover forward from back until front snaps free.
Step 5. Carefully insert and twist screwdriver at each brush support to free brush from base.
Step 6. Remove worn belt.
Step 7. Slide brush supports off to check and clean brush support areas.

To replace belt: slide washers and brush supports onto brush assembly.
Install new belt over motor drive, then over brush sprocket.
Snap brush supports into place on base. Be sure brush supports are not upside down.
Line up front of cover and base. Rest cover on front edge of base. Tilt cover to back. Press cover firmly until side tabs snap into place. Replace cover screws, light bulb and light cover.

VTech 5.8 mhz won't work

I found a solution that fixed this problem (at least for me). On the vtech site they said to unplug the base unit for at least 5 minutes. Previously, I had only unplugged the base unit for a few seconds. This time, I left it unplugged for about 10 minutes or so and when I plugged it back in, everything was working fine. Apparently there is some sort of capacitor that must discharge long enough to completely remove power from the circuitry.

Good luck and I hope this works for you!
