Question about Goldstar GBV241 DVD Player/VCR

Goldstar gbv241 dvd/vcr player

The dvd player reads the dvd but nothing happens. what can I do to fix this?

    I,m not sure if Ive installed it right. the dvd player reads and starts playing but nothing shoes up on the tv. help me please.

Hello how you doing i have a problem with my dvd it is a goldstar GBV441 product and the problem is that on the screen it says progressive scan and i tried to do it but i coudn't do it maybe you can tell me how to do that or tell me where is the repair store for dvd

iF cleaning the optical pickup did not help it is likely you have a bad optical pickup and only the entire unit may be available---Here is some information that may be helpful:

Panasonic DVD player will not read DVD.


Sounds like you laser head is dirty, buy a dvd/cd clearner disc and run one and maybe twice, that should fix it, if your still having issues most likely you will need to replace it.

My car dvd player wont eject dvd's or take them for that matter.


Sound like yor unit load/eject mechanism is bad, take it to a local shop if it fixable then it would cost around $100. Call me I know e few dependable shop. 801-414-4566.

Disc region incorrect


Power up, no disk in. Status says READ then INSERT DISC.
Press MENU (status reads invalid key icon)
Press 1 (status reads invalid key icon)
Press 9 Menu is displayed.
Press ENTER on the region, digit turns to "-"
Press 0
Press ENTER again
Press EJECT to clear the special menu.

PS If you're gagging to get at this and the remote doesn't work, pull out the tab that isolates the supplied button cell in the remote control :-)
Region 1 NTSC
Region 2 PAL
Region 3 NTSC
