Question about HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have an HP OfficeJet 6110xi all in one printer/copier/fax/scanner and I am having problems with the "copy" function, which just showed up. I try to copy something and it says, "paper too narrow. Load wider paper". This just showed up and when you try to do a "test" page or a copy, the printer head goes from one side of the paper and shines down a bright blue light and then it goes to the other side and shines down a bright blue light (does it a couple of times on each side) and then it just sends the paper through with the message, "paper too narrow. Load wider paper." Any hints on this? Is it the printer head, an adjustment or a setting? I set all the setting back to the factory default. I used this for copying two days ago and it worked great. My girlfriend tried to copy something last night and it says that saying now. I can still print with it with no problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you would prefer to send an e-mail to me, you can e-mail me at progressive_homeowner @yahoo.com . Thanks!
I move a HP Officejet 6110 all in one from my office to home and now will not print at all. All in get on message window is oringial loaded or scanner failure. Can you help?

I had the same problem some time ago. Unplug the USB from the printer for 10 seconds and plug it back in. HP tech support gave me this fix and it worked.

This seems to be a paper registration problem for the copy function only that is an HP thing Good old HP so innovative and so secretive none of us know whats going on most of the time. Two things to try. Take the stack of paper out of the feed tray and riffle so that it is slightly 'untidy' switch off the device , load the paper, switch on- see what happens. Next look at the software disk- there is usually a fully comprehensive reference manual on there [more than in the book]- check that out then come back.
