Fridger temperature selector does not reach the set temperature
When I set the fridge temperature to say, 3 degrees, the display does not change to reflect that temperature.
It stays between 12-14 degrees - inside of the fridge does not cool to the 3-4 degrees set temperature.
Told it might be the temperature sensor, if so is it easy to replace?

Save-Smart®
Press () to activate the Save-Smart®Function.
1.Set the thermostat to desired temperature using the +/-
buttons (Note: The default Save-Smart®temperature is 72 ? F)
2.When you reach the temperature at which you want to
set the unit, the set temperature will flash several times
and then the display will return to indicate the current
room temperature and will gradually change as the
room temperature changes.
3.When the air temperature is less than the set temperature,
the heater will run in HIGH heat.
4.Once the thermostat reaches the set temperature the heater
will automatically switch to LOW heat to save energy.
5.When the air temperature reaches 4? above the set temperature,
the heater will turn off. The Heater will cycle off and on in the LOW
mode to maintain the set temperature.
All this happens automatically with Lasko Save-Smart®Technology.
To deactivate the Save-Smart®function, press Save-Smart®
again or (hi/lo) for continuous high/low heat.
AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL(Figure 3)
The automatic temperature function will only operate on "High" heat.
You cannot set the temperature automatically when the unit is in the low heat mode.
1.To set the room at a specific temperature press the () or()buttons
to the desired temperature. The display will now reflect the () and the temperature will be flashing. The Heater is now in Auto Temperature Mode.
2.When you reach the temperature at which you want to set the unit, the set temperature will flash several times and then the display will return to indicate the current room temperature and will gradually change as the room temperature changes. NOTE: the temperature display does not indicate the temperature of the heated air being emitted by the heater.
3.Once the room temperature reaches 2 degrees above the set temperature, the Heater will shut off. Once the room temperature reaches 1 degree below the set temperature, the Heater will turn back on and continue to cycle off and on to maintain the set temperature.
4.This function will cancel if the ()button is pressed. The Heater will now be in High heat and run continuously.
NOTE:It is normal for the Heater "fan" to run for approximately 15 seconds when the Heater shuts off after reaching the set temperature.Press the () and() buttons at the same time to change the display to ° Celsius. Press the same two buttons together again to change the display
back to ° Fahrenheit.
Units will vary give or take a few degrees from the control panel display. Keep in mind once you change the temperature it will take up to 10-12 hours to stabilize and reach that temperature. If the unit is not cool, even at the bottom of the refrigeration portion (where the coolest air will be found) then contact a professional to diagnose the control pane and board.
The settings are "relative". Someone with this fridge in Montana may need to run the same fridge with different settings than someone in Texas to get the same temperatures.
Many manufacturers recommend that the fresh food compartment should be 34 degrees F, and the freezer -10 to 0 degrees F. To set this properly, place a thermometer in the freezer (that can display temperatures as low as the desired temperature). Adjust the thermometer for the correct freezer temperature before going on to the fridge. A fully stocked freezer could take 12 hours or more for temperatures to stabilize after making changes to the thermostat. Once the -10 to 0 degree temperature has been achieved, set the fresh food compartment temperature.
Place a thermometer (that can display below freezing) in a 6 (or so) oz flexible plastic cup of water and place on a shelf in the fridge. A glass of water could break if the temperature gets below 32 degrees if the water turns to ice. The water acts as a buffer to rapidly changing temperatures when the door is opened to read the thermometer. If the fridge is "full", allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize before making changes.
If the fridge and freezer are empty, changes may be seen in just a few hours or less. Otherwise, wait the 12 / 24 hours for the freezer / fridge compartments.
Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.
ProgrammingBrewTemperature (187°-192oF) The Brewer brews at a preset temperature of 192°. You can adjust this temperature down by 5 degrees if you prefer a cooler cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa. Simply follow the instructions below. 1. Press the Menu Button on the LCD Control Center five times to program the Brew Temperature feature. 2. The LCD Control Center will now display the programming options with a small arrow next to "SET BREW TEMP" (fig. 15). Also, the temperature 192° (initial setting) will be displayed at the bottom of the LCD Control Center to indicate the current temperature setting. 3. A minus sign will appear over the Small Cup Button and/or a plus sign over the Large Mug Button. Use these buttons to raise or lower the temperature one degree at a time. 4. Once you have reached your desired brew temperature, press the Menu Button once to exit the programming mode. "BREW TEMP SET" will be displayed in the LCD Control Center if you have changed it from 192°. 5. To change the brew temperature again, repeat steps 1 through 3 to change the temperature up or down, remembering that the temperature can only be between 187° and 192°.

1.
The first thing you must know is that your refrigerator should be
set at 37-38 degrees. Anything at 40 or higher and you are risking
food born illness (food poisoning) or spoiling your food. Place your
magnetic thermometer in the refrigerator.
2.
Set your dial on your refrigerator to the second lowest setting. (If
your refrigerator is already equipped with a digital thermostat,
simply set it for 37 or 38 degrees and do not move on to the next
step)
3.
After 2 hours, check your thermometer reading. If your reading is 38
degrees, there is no need to go higher and you are ready to put your
groceries in. Be sure not to open and close your refrigerator during
these two hours or your temperature reading will be incorrect.
4.
If your reading is higher than 38 degrees, move your dial up to the
next coldest setting and repeat the steps every two hours until you
reach the correct temperature for your refrigerator.
5.
Once you have reached the correct refrigeration temperature for your
refrigerator, place the magnetic thermometer in the refrigerator
permanently and watch for changes.
Typically, your
refrigerator temperature will need to be adjusted with the seasons,
a higher setting in the summer and a lower setting in the winter.
If it's American, the temperature probably reads as fahrenheit. If so, 20 degrees F is 12 degrees F below freezing which converts to only -6.67 degrees Celsius.
Domestic freezers should be set to -17 degrees Celsius (= 0 degrees F), so the beeper is warning you that the freezer compartment is far too warm. If it's working correctly and has the temperature control set correctly, then it should achieve the correct temperature if you leave it for 24 hours and do not open the door nor try to use the ice dispenser. If the freezer is full of unfrozen items and so has to cool those down as well, then it may take even longer to reach the correct operating temperature.
Te operating manual for your appliance will tell you how to set the temperature correctly and whether it's possible to select between fahrenheit and Celsius scales. Most models allow you to set an override on the beep alarm as well. I cannot guide you on this without knowing the exact Samsung model.
Generic instructions to set temperatures in fridges:
Many manufacturers design these appliances to operate at 0 degrees F in the freezer and 34 to 36 degrees F in the fresh food compartment.
To set the temperature correctly, fill a glass with water (8 to 12 ounces) and place a thermometer capable of indicating 32 degrees and up into the glass with water (if the temperature goes below 32 degrees, the water will freeze - so no need to find a thermometer that indicates any lower). Place the glass with the thermometer in it on a shelf and wait. Putting the thermometer in a glass of water helps preserve the temperature reading while the door is open. You can skip the water and glass if you want - but you'll need to read the temperature as soon as you open the door.
The freezer will require a thermometer capable of displaying 0 degrees F. Place it on a shelf where it can be seen readily - but preferably in the rear - between items (to prevent the warm air from driving the indicator up when opening the door to read it).
It will probably be easier to set the freezer temperature first. Adjust both the freezer and fresh food thermostats to mid-points (if the fridge is empty - otherwise skip this step). Adjust the freezer thermostat up or down as needed to reach the desired 0 degree F temperature.
Once the freezer adjustments are complete, adjust the fresh food compartment thermostat as needed up or down to reach the desired temperature for it.
If you fridge is fully stocked, it may take some time for the temperature to stabilize and warm / cool the fridge's contents completely. This is further affected by how often the door(s) are opened and for how long. 24 hours is often claimed - but you might be able to sneak an 8 - 12 hour soak before reading the thermometers.
After the temperatures are set, you may find that the lower part of the fresh food area is partially freezing - simply adjust the thermometer up *slightly* as needed.
Please rate this reply if it was helpful - good luck!
Normally your fridge is set +2 degrees C. with a differential of 3 so when it reaches +5 it should switch back on. if this is not doing this then a new thermostat may be in order.
Will do, not at home until Thursday but will check on my return.
Many thanks,
