Question about RCA 32V430T 32" TV
TV worked fine the other day but now it won't turn on. I had trouble with this TV when it was new. Fire flying in the back! I had this fixed for $100. This TV has the large plug on the power cord. I haven't tried to do anything to it yet. I know power is to the plug but do not know how far it goes from there?? Is there a fuse in the power cord plug? If the fuse on power supply has blown, something caused it to blow and replacing the fuse would not be a good idea before I could check a few things out?? What steps should I take to get to the problem!
The fuse is inside the set and is probably ok, but check to be sure. If you have an ohm meter I would check the horizontal output transistor first. It is a big transistor on a heat sink next to the FBT. It has three pins, check the center pin to one of the others, if low the transistor and probably the FBT is bad.
