Re: monitor acer al1916w
Hm. Well, it might not be the monitor issue. What is your computer model? Are you using a regular PC, laptop (is it wide screen or standard?..in other words is it a square or rectangle..?), MAC, etc?
Secondly, what is the resolution of your monitor?
I believe this must be a card issue in your computer. Have someone check out your graphic card to make sure its compatible with your game. Some times the resolution can cause issues on computers. My husband has ran into that with a few of his games. He could simply go internally on the computer options to change the resolution on the graphic card in order to play the game. It wouldnt look as awesome as it really should, but this should help you out.
Good luck. Let me know if you're still having problems.

Update your video car drivers and then look for the specific drivers of your monitor, it happened to me once using windows 7 i just installed the monitor's driver from the manufacturers website. go to acer website and support download page and search for your model, donwload and install and hope that solves your problem.
This is cause the game you are trying to play is configured to play in a high resolution but your Monitor not supporting this resolution. If you havent try to play older games, try to play an older game and see if this is happening again. Thanks. Please Rate my Solution.
This is the resolution problem. Pls reduce the resolution .
Right click any where on the desktop and click on properties there.
a popup appears just choose Setting there . there you will find the option of Screen Resolution .Just Slide the pointer toward less litlle till your problem resolve.
That monitor has a native resolution of 1440x900 (I used to have one). If the game is feeding the monitor too high a resolution, the monitor can't display it and.....input not supported. So, if the game has a configuration option (without going into the game itself) set the resolution to 800x600 and try to play. If it works, bump up the resolution until it looks acceptable.
the game will need to be set to the same screen resolution as your monitor or the best that suits, beccause of it being widescreen, so look in the graphic or video settings in the game, or change the resolution of your monitor to suit the games highest setting.
This is done by right clicking on your desktop, down to properties and then the settings tab in the next window and then move the slider at the screen resolution box.
