Question about Motorola Mobility SLVR L7 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Buttons not working

Every now and then I have several buttons on my phone that will not work. They are the down arrow, camera, right soft key and the 8. Its always the same ones at the same time. Turning phone off and removing battery does not work. I just keep pressing until they do or hit it against the wall (frustration did set it that time).

Whats the code of the resoration?

You want to do a hard reset or a soft reset?
The soft reset does not erase data (photos, videos, documents) or applications from the phone.
The Hard reset restore the phone, it will be just like when you first brought it.

Once you know what reset you want, choose the code

Soft reset code: *#7780#
Hard Reset code: *#7370#

Keys stopped working 580i down arrow and numbers stopped working

chances are if its the slide part the flex cable connecting the top half of the phone to the bottom part of the phone may be damage. This needs to be changed.
If the problem occurs with the number pad below the board where the buttons sits on is also damaged.of its only a few buttons try putting a very small crumpled piece of paper below the buttons.if is all the buttons the board is shorting .

Soft/hard reset combination keys doesnt work for nokia 6280

try this for soft reset

12345 is a standard code and 00000, but if you change it and you have forgotten your unlock code, you'll just have to reformat it

key combination which is used to hard reset the phone (similar to #*7370). It is useful in some cases, for example when the phone cannot reboot.

The trick is
Switch off the phone.
Hold down the following three buttons: Green (call answer) button, * button, and ‘3′ button
While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone
When the message ‘Formatting’ appears on the screen, release all of the buttons...

reformatting your phone will delete all your data and also will restore all the defaults of your phone, and any corrupted application will be reinstalled, but if the formating doesn't work, you'll just have to re flash it, the safe way is to go to a near repair shop of your phone and have then to re flash your phone,

Okay, if your phone still operates, and you just cant see anything, then here is what you press:
left soft key (menu, its the highest button on the left of the phone) down one and press middle button (address book) scroll down two or three (to make sure you are not on one of the stupid numbers att puts in the phone) left soft key (options) scroll down 13 spaces and right one space (move to sim) down one space and select (move multiple contacts) press the middle button and the left soft key (move all to sim card) press the left soft key one more time and your done! you should be able to remove the sim card and have all your contacts on there.  if you have a question, just let me know.

Retrieving data from v330 with no screen

i) send out to a cell phone repair and they will print out contacts., will cost u $25-$50.

ii) hook up bluetooth to your pc (check your manual or one online) and download the numbers. this is pretty tough without see stuff on the screen, imho.

iii) check manual (online or yours) to save all contacts, at least as many as possible onto your sim card.

this actually just happened to me a week ago, but i have a backup prepaid v300, so i can put my sim in there for contacts. good luck!
