Simple solution is Put a ocillating fan on fixed postion next to the cooling opening on the computer adding to the airflow, otherwise you'll have to replace the internal cpu cooling fan with a larger model.

Hi.I have a dell xps m1330. after use for an hour,...

put a cooling pad under the laptop, make sure there is plenty of air movemend by the fans, example. dont sit the laptop on your bed or a pillow or anything that blocks air movement. also, they will tend to get hot if you put a lot of high usage on them as in gaming and such. if you have tried all these and it gets so hot that it locks up or is burning, you, then call Dell it could be an internal issue.

It's not the light.Your CPU might be already dusty. I also had an experience that was just like you. I just cleaned up my CPU and the noise was gone.

Xps 420 keeps freezing or going to blue screen

Same with my Dell Vostro 420. At this rate I will just buy a new PC as I am wasting too much time on this. We tried usual stuff like cleaning inside, making cooler, removing certain virus software, still no luck. I have to restart 4 times a day and keep saving material. Can only restart by turning it off by pulling out power socket.

XPS M1710

Sounds like you have a driver issue that is conflicting with a current setting. Do you play games that are very demanding on your video resources? What you can do is uninstall the driver or roll it back and restart the computer. Helps if you have the driver file for which ever video card you have, I have the 7950gtx and it never had any problems with Left 4Dead or Unreal Tournament. I keep a notebook cooler handy when I'm gaming.
