Question about Kenmore 24 in. 16032 Built-in Dishwasher
Our Kenmore 16032 built-in dishwasher has large, bright orange stains on the white plastic of the inside door panel. They seem to fade and then get really bright again. This is our fourth dishwasher and I have never seen any stains appear in any of our previous three dishwashers. These stains will not scrub off, and they look disgusting. Kenmore says it's due to the dye in the foods we eat, but our dishes are fairly clean before we wash them anyway. Kenmore also says it's a common occurence, but if that's so, why have we never seen these hideous stains inside any of our previous dishwashers? We eat exactly the same foods that we have been eating for the past thirty years. These stains are so gross. What is really causing them? Can't they find a plastic that won't absorb colors from the food being that's being washed away? Has anyone found anything to remove these stains or to prevent them althogether?
Have you tried a treatment (not sure of the name) that you wash plastic dishes with that takes the orange stains out? It can be found at Walmart for under $10. I don't know of anything that can prevent this problem but I don't see why a product that takes it out of plastic dishes can't take it off the plastic of the dishwasher. Hope it helps!
