Hi There
this sounds like a thermostat go to auto-part store ask for a thermostat for your vehicle go to a garage and have it installed for $20.00 or replace yourself follow your rubber hose which carries the engine coolant from rad to engine your thermostat will be hidden on the engine once the black rubber hose is unhooked from the engine thermostat will be exposed simply takeout old one and place in the new one re attach black hose and done
thermostat will cost $15 - $45 as its an older car i would say $17 for thermostat
also check the black hose for any cracks or holes if there are any found replace the coolant hoses the over heating may be caused by a leak in the hose but most over heating is due to the thermostat being stuck in the closed position thermostats are to be replaced every yr or two
hope this helped good luck
Hi,seem your have a leaking hose or clamp, better to use a radiator pressure tester to pin-point where the leak come from,ty
It could be a faulty thermostate or a bad water pump. Water pump is on the passneger side where the fan belts are. Good luck
Swapping out your thermostat is really easy. I'm no fix-it-guy but I was able to change mine and fix the heating aurora issues. If you follow the above instructions it shouldn't be hard.
